4 star anise
3-4 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 cup sliced citrus (combination of lemon, orange, and lime)
NOTE: Inexpensive wine works best for mulled wines—the assortment of ingredients adds to its flavor and aroma.
