The first Singaporium pop-up is happening in Ortigas

  • The pop-up will offer the opportunity to immerse oneself in Singaporean culture

This year, the Philippines and Singapore will be celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1969, the friendship between the two countries has “continued to grow through regular exchanges and visits, mutually beneficial economic cooperation, and the increasing familiarity of people-to-people exchanges,” Ambassador of Singapore to the Philippines Gerard Ho notes.

To celebrate this milestone, Enterprise Singapore will be bringing the Singaporean shopping experience through the first-ever Singaporium pop-up in the country. The pop-up will be bringing people closer to 17 retail and food concepts on Sept. 6-15 at The Podium Mall, Ortigas Center.

For people looking to expand their fashion and lifestyle shopping experiences, here are some of the brands you can look forward to during this one-of-a-kind pop-up:

Klosh

Singapore’s leading lifestyle store will be bringing in their inspiring range of novelties, stationery, and home decorations closer to Filipino shoppers through Singaporium. Driven by the idea that gifting is an art of giving, Klosh sources their mix of well-loved gifts and merchandise from Singapore and all over the world to showcase the constant evolution of design.

Mighty Jaxx

Known for creating limited-edition collectibles and collaborating with artists and companies like DC Comics, Cartoon Network, MTV, and New Balance, Mighty Jaxx has created thousands of limited-edition collectibles for everyone around the world to enjoy. In collaboration with illustrator, toy designer, and graffiti artist Quiccs, Mighty Jaxx will be producing a special set of collectibles made for the pop-up.

Benns

This bean-to-bar manufacturer is committed to producing healthy and sustainable artisanal chocolates. Made with recipes and ingredients that are kept simple, (their chocolates are made up of fairly sourced cacao nibs, cocoa butter, and unrefined cane sugar), Benns highlights unique tasting notes and flavors with every bar of chocolate produced.

Our Second Nature

Fun, vibrant prints meet comfortable, everyday wear with clothing brand Our Second Nature. Inspired by the belief that clothing is personal and transformative, this clothing brand works with in-house designers that produce unique prints that ensure that each clothing collection produced is one-of-a-kind and can be worn for casual and formal occasions.

Porcelain

Porcelain designs personalized skin solutions for everyone, and it is evident in the facial cleansers, toners, serums, moisturizers, and masks that they produce. Their skin care products and face spa services are born out of customer-centric research, which help build and develop a holistic and personal experience for all of its customers.

Her Velvet Vase

For this clothing company, clothes are more than just outfits on your back: they help you create memories and accompany you to all of your important milestones. Her Velvet Vase produces specially designed and curated clothing pieces and accessories that are thoughtful, inclusive, and designed in-house or sourced from all over the world.

Bynd Artisan

Built upon the legacy of master craftsmen and the spirit of artisanal excellence, Bynd Artisan produces high-quality and customizable leather and paper goods made in collaboration with craftsmen who are looking to hone their artisanal skills. All of their pieces are patiently hand-crafted, made with economically viable and sustainable paper and leather sourced from Europe.

For foodies who are looking to experience Singapore’s cuisine, the pop-up will be bringing in 10 stalls for you to explore. Here is a sneak peek into some of the fresh names that Singaporium is bringing into The Podium:

Wolf Burgers

Launched in 2016, Wolf Burgers has established their name in the culinary industry by bringing gourmet burgers closer to wider audiences. The burger joint crafts dishes with fresh vegetables sourced from neighboring countries; their patties are made out of a blend of Australian beef and Southeast Asian fish; and their buns are custom-made from a special recipe.

Wok Hey

Wok Hey prides itself in being the “masters of stir fry,” and with good reason. The stir fry place will be bringing zi char (Singaporean dining term for Chinese cooked-to-order means) to the Philippines through their mixed rice and noodle dishes—which are customizable and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Ming Fa

Since its beginnings as a pushcart in 1946, Ming Fa has grown and opened outlets in Singapore, Jakarta, and Indonesia through their handmade fishballs. Ming Fa prides itself in using 100 percent fish meat in their fishballs, and in producing other Singaporean dishes such as minced pork noodles, laksa, as well as chicken cutlet and fishball noodles.
