Who doesn’t love the melt-in-your-mouth goodness of Brazo de Mercedes? This meringue roll filled with custard inside and sprinkled with powdered sugar outside is a Filipino dessert favorite known for its soft and fluffy texture matched with just the right amount of sweetness. What we found out recently about it though, was that it tastes even better when eaten frozen.
Home-based dessert shop Maria Makes offers frozen Brazo de Mercedes, and it comes in a variety of flavors. This includes plain vanilla (P665) and avocado (P675) which are part of their regular menu.
For P695, they also offer frozen ube Brazo de Mercedes made with ube halaya, as well as frozen cookies and cream Brazo de Mercedes.
Every month, Maria Makes introduces a new limited-edition flavor to their menu, too, and for August, their offering is something green tea lovers will love: Matcha.
Customers may still avail of their past limited-edition flavors like chocolate salted caramel for July and caramel macchiato for June as well, but a minimum of two orders per flavor is required.
Available in 8×4 inch pans, each meringue roll is made up of fluffy meringue, thick ice cream, rich custard and a tasty crust. You can opt to have your frozen Brazo de Mercedes order delivered to your home by booking a third party courier or pick it up personally from Maria Makes.
To place your order, message Maria Makes on Instagram or text 0917-8283857. Payment methods accepted are Gcash and bank transfer through BDO and BPI only.
