The National Museum reopens Oct. 19. Here’s how you can book a visit

Good news to all art, history and culture buffs: Starting Oct. 19, Tuesday, the National Museums of Fine Arts, Anthropology, and Natural History are reopening to the public. But before you plan an impromptu visit (which will not be entertained, FYI), here’s a guide on how to schedule one during the pandemic.

When is it open?

Tuesdays to Sundays excluding religious holidays

What time is it open?

9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Who can visit?

Fully vaccinated individuals with vaccination cards and identification cards

How to book a visit

Go to reservation.nationalmuseum.gov.ph to schedule at least a day before your intended visit. You can book for a solo trip or a group trip with a maximum of four companions for an AM (9-12) or PM (1-4) session. Fill out the necessary details then click “Confirm.” You will receive a confirmation via email.

Group reservations are limited to five (5) persons only.

Safety protocols during visits

  • Have your temperature taken at the entrance (persons with temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius and above will not be allowed entrance along with those with fever and flu-like symptoms)
  • Accomplish a health declaration form through StaySafePh app
  • Visitors are required to wear mask and face shield at all times
  • Each museum could only accommodate a maximum of 100 visitors per session
  • Take note of prohibited items inside the museum:
    • Art materials
    • Large bags
    • Backpacks
    • Baby backpack carriers
    • Long umbrellas and other bulky items
    • Food and drinks, plants, flowers and other organic materials
    • Tripods and video cameras
    • Wrapped packages including gifts
    • Pets
  • A two-meter distance must be maintained between persons not belonging to the same household at all times
  • Elevators are exclusively for persons with disabilities and senior citizens
  • There will be no guided tours
