It’s time once again to mark those calendars—Malacañang Palace has just released the official list of regular holidays and special non-working days for 2018.

A total of 18 holidays were declared for the incoming year, with 10 announced as regular holidays and six as special non-working days. Two additional non-working days were also included in the list: November 2 (All Souls’ Day) and December 24 (Christmas eve).

Holidays reserved for the observance of Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha, on the other hand, have yet to be determined “in accordance with the Islamic calendar (Hijra) or the lunar calendar.” Announcements will be made when the dates are approximated.

For employees who want some light shed on the matter, working on a regular holiday means you are entitled to at least 200% of the sum of your daily rate and cost of living allowance. Coming to work on a special non-working day, on the other hand, entitles employees to at least 130% of the same sum.
