A fire broke out in Star City, Pasay shortly after midnight this morning. According to a Twitter post by TXT Fire Philippines, the fire reached its first alarm at 12:36 p.m. hitting the amusement park’s Snow World.
Shortly after thirty minutes, the fire reached its fifth alarm at 1:02 a.m. Pasay City fire marshal Paul Pili said the fire may have started in the stockroom of stuffed toys and an assortment of prizes.
In a tweet, Senator Richard Gordon, chairman of the Philippine Red Cross, said they have deployed two fire trucks and dispatched two ambulances to Star City.
The office of the television network Manila Broadcasting Company which owns radio stations DZRH and Love Radio was also affected by the blaze. However, Star City spokesperson Rudolph Jularbal said most of its operations will continue.
The fire was brought under control at around 4:30 a.m. Investigations are on-going to determine the cause of the fire.
As of writing, there are no immediate reports of any casualty.
