Typhoon Tisoy has weakened into a severe tropical storm this Wednesday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on its 5 a.m. weather bulletin today.
After it hit the country around 11 p.m. last Monday, the typhoon destroyed government and private infrastructures across Southern Luzon and Visayas, leaving residents with no electricity and water supply as well as damaged crops.
Although Tisoy is expected to exit the country between tonight and tomorrow morning, according to PAGASA, residents affected by the typhoon continue to seek help from the national government and their local municipalities.
