Free shuttle services and scheduled trips part of Pasig City’s “new normal”

Days into the modified enhanced community quarantine, many citizens are already having difficulty traveling to their workplaces due to a lack of public transportation vehicles. To address this, Pasig City started a free bus service.

Each shuttle will come at a designated place and scheduled time daily in order to stabilize the flow of passengers.

From 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., a bus will leave every 30 minutes. On off-peak hours—from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.—a bus leaves only once every hour. The full list of pickup and drop-off points can be found here. The local government has expanded their routes to accommodate those working outside the city, spanning areas in Cainta to Taytay, Rizal. All rides will begin at the Pasig City Hall terminal.

Additionally, real-time locations of the buses can be accessed online through the mobile application Sakay.ph. Simply input Pasig Transport in the search box and select the route of your choice. The app is available on the Apple Store or GooglePlay.

The service will follow social distancing measures and will only allow a limited number of passengers on each ride.
