No need to go outside. Here are government services you can sign up for online

With quarantine protocols limiting the time we can be outside, visiting government agencies and availing of their services can be challenging. Fortunately, government agencies have begun offering their services online to make accomplishing these tasks more convenient.

LTO PASS

Aside from reopening their offices, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has also reactivated their Personal Appointment and Scheduling System (PASS). LTO PASS allows drivers to schedule appointments to renew their vehicle’s registration and driver’s licenses—as a way to avoid crowding in their offices and improve processing efficiency.

Applicants only need to fill in their license or vehicle registration details on the website, choose a desired branch and schedule, and wait for an email to confirm their appointment. LTO also said that their online appointment system is free of charge, and anyone being charged for this service can contact 8922-9061 to 63.

My.SSS

Employees who want to request copies of their membership records with the Social Security System (SSS) can do so by signing up for a My.SSS account. Here, members can check on the status of their contributions and loan repayments and access a forum where they can discuss SSS-related issues.

Individuals who want to register for the social insurance program can also fill out an online registration form on the portal and generate an SSS number online. To finalize their membership, however, individuals will need to print out the registration form and submit the required documents to the nearest SSS branch.

eGSIS Mo

Government employees, meanwhile, can access their membership records and the status of their loans and insurance benefits through the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS)’s online portal. The eGSIS Mo site allows its members to access records of their loans and claims, as well as see a tentative computation of their social insurance benefits.

Members can register for the portal by visiting the eGSIS Mo website and entering their GSIS business partner number. This number is available from their employer’s authorized officer or electronic remittance file handler, or by contacting the GSIS contact center at 8847-4747.

My PhilHealth Portal

Individuals who want to sign up for the country’s healthcare program only need to visit the My PhilHealth Portal, fill out their registration form and upload the required documents. After one to three weeks, your permanent PhilHealth number will be sent to the email address you provided in the registration.

Aside from online registration, the My PhilHealth Portal also has a directory of accredited health care institutions, and a site where members can check on their membership details and the benefits that they are eligible for.

Pag-IBIG Fund Online Services

Another service that people can sign up for online is the Pag-IBIG Fund. Individuals and employers who want to sign up for the savings and housing program only need to fill out their online registration system and request for their permanent membership ID number via text message after two working days.

Pag-IBIG’s online portal also allows members to apply for housing loans, verify loan payments and submit their remittance schedules online.

PSA Serbilis

Need any documents from our country’s civil registry? The Philippine Statistics Authority has an online portal that lets you request for birth, death, marriage or certificate of no marriage record to be delivered to your phone. PSA Serbilis allows you to submit requests for any certificate, pay for these online and request for it to be delivered to your home—either in the country or abroad.

PSA Serbilis also allows users to access vital statistics reports and a directory of PSA Serbilis Centers in the country.
