Help typhoon victims by eating and shopping at these places

After Typhoon Rolly wreaked havoc on parts of Luzon (particularly Catanduanes and Albay in the Bicol region), groups and organizations are stepping up to lead relief efforts for those affected by this supertyphoon.

If you want to help—and enjoy a meal or do some shopping along the way—check out these places that vow to donate proceeds from their sales to typhoon victims.

Spicebird

The beloved Boracay chicken restaurant (who is also currently at The Grid) will be donating all its Nov. 4 profits to the Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership. If you’re still on quarantine at home, orders made through takeout and delivery will still be counted towards the donation efforts.

Please, Senpai

The Sunny Side Group’s yakitori takeout concept will also be donating its Nov. 4 profits to the Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership. If you’re in the mood for Japanese food and helping others, their yakitori bowls are a great place to start. Please Senpai is exclusive for delivery, so you don’t need to brave the outdoors for a meal and a chance to help.

Slo Store

If you’re looking for a sign to switch to more sustainable living, this is it. Slo Store will be donating 50 percent of profits made from Nov. 2 until Nov. 4 to Kids for Kids’ Typhoon Rolly donation drive. You can load up on all of your eco-friendly essentials through its online store and half the money you’ll spend will go to Albay communities that suffered the brunt of the typhoon.

We Dairy Free

For the entire week, a hundred percent of We Dairy Free’s profits will be donated to Typhoon Rolly relief efforts through their friends at For the Future Ph. If you’re looking for non-dairy, nut-based alternatives to milk, every bottle of their cashew milk sold this week will go to typhoon-ravaged communities in need of assistance

Potek

If you’re in the market for handcrafted earthenware (and helping others), Potek is donating all its November sales to Typhoon Rolly relief efforts. All the money made from their beautiful hand-painted patôs will go to Tagani Ph’s donation drive to help local farmers affected by the typhoon.

Only Vegan Food Cebu

For our friends in the Queen City of the South, Only Vegan Food will also be participating in typhoon relief efforts by donating a percentage of its November sales to Tagani Ph, an organization that focuses on helping local farmers and their communities.
