Art is a noble calling. Choosing art as a profession often means foregoing a stable, bi-monthly paycheck, more so during this pandemic. In response to this crisis time for creatives around the country, the Shelter Fund Initiative is organizing “Print Jam 2020,” an exhibition and sale of over 500 works of art by local artists, illustrators and photographers to help them make it through the pandemic.
Print Jam, which runs from Nov. 7 to 20, allows creatives to showcase their talent and earn income without the need for a physical space. The works made available are new, original and signed by each of the 200 participating local artists.
Creatives whose works will be up for sale include Lena Cobangbang, Regine David, Tof Zapanta, Sonny Thakur and many more.
Every print is made on-demand using archival-grade paper. All the artworks for sale are open editions, so Shelter Fund won’t run out of the piece you’re eyeing. The prints are available in A2, A3, A4 and A5 sizes and packed in tubes or flat hard boards for the A5 sizes.
If you’re looking to frame the newest addition to your art collection, there are also several framing options to choose from that will be bubble wrapped for safety when the work is shipped.
For those of you interested in filling up that blank canvas that is the wall in your home, you can order and pay through Shelter Fund’s website. Happy decorating!
