Heads up: The Ortigas Foundation Library is moving to Greenhills by May

Need to go to the library? If you’re headed to the Ortigas Foundation Library, you might want to hold off on those plans because it’s currently in the process of moving to a new location.

John Silva, executive director of the library, announced that it will be moving its collection of 24,000 volumes of books, maps, photographs and documents from the Ortigas Building to a new outpost at the Greenhills Shopping Center.

“We still accept inquiries and purchases of our souvenirs,” the announcement post reads. “But our books for research will again be available to the public by May of this year.” The library has yet to announce a definite opening date to the public.

The Ortigas Foundation Library houses a collection of Filipiniana books, serials, photographs and documents from the 17th century, as well as a complete set of Japanese wartime trial records and publications. These are from the personal collection of Raffa Ortigas, Francisco Ortigas Jr. and Maritoni Ortigas.
