As Duterte’s last year begins, Ateneo School of Gov’t to release comprehensive report on the last 5 years

Despite citizen protests, Duterte deems anti-terror bill “urgent”

We have exactly 365 days till the end of the Duterte administration, and as we get more news about who’s running (or not running) for what, it’s also about time we do a little review.

While we make sure we’re registered for the next elections, we should also look back on the performance of the current administration to evaluate just what we need to look for in the country’s next leader.

And as we lead up to the president’s final State of the Nation Address, the Ateneo School of Government will release a series of comprehensive reports on the administration’s work so far. Called “Duterte at 5: The Duterte Administration by the Numbers,” the report aims to review the administration’s policies on the economy, social and development programs, legislative reforms, and national security, anti-corruption, and anti-crime.

The reports and video explainers can be viewed on the Ateneo School of Government and Inclusive Democracy websites.

Along with these, the Ateneo School of Government also launched Boses Pilipinas (Boses, Opinyon, Siyasat, at Siyensya para sa Pilipinas), a university-based research unit that “aims to provide stronger evidence and information to secure the Filipino’s voice on significant public policy issues through innovative methodologies.”
