Dear gourmands, another fine dining restaurant will be on your to-dine lists soon. Multi-awarded Chinese restaurant Mott 32 will soon be opening its doors in the Queen City of the South, Cebu. This is the restaurant’s sixth international location after setting up shop in Hong Kong, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Singapore, and Bangkok.
Though its original location is in Hong Kong, the restaurant also has roots in New York City. Named after the location of the first Chinese convenience store on 32 Mott street, it combines a New York style with traditional Chinese culinary elements.
The acclaimed restaurant has won multiple awards, including the distinction of being named one of Asia’s top 100 restaurants by Opinionated About Dining and the South China Morning Post.
Helmed by muti-award winning chef Lee Man Sing, Mott 32 pays homage to Chinese cooking with a New York flair. The restaurant is located at the newly-opened Nustar Resort and Casino in Cebu City. Lee rose to fame at his former post at Mandarin Oriental’s Man Wah where the restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars during his tenure.
Diners can expect to be delighted by Mott 32’s signature dishes that catapulted it to global renown, like its famous apple wood roasted peking duck, barbecue pluma Iberico pork (a modern reimagining of the traditional char siu), and a dim sum lineup to die for.
The restaurant has yet to officially open to the public, but we’re expecting its grand opening very soon. You can follow Mott 32 Cebu’s official Facebook page for updates.
