We all have our reasons why we missed last year’s Cinemalaya—a tight schedule, overflowing workload, geographical location, or financial stability. Some films on the list were re-shown on big screens and various microcinemas in the metro, but if you haven’t watched them yet, we have the University of the Philippines Film Institute to thank. It’s showing the six full-length finalists at Cine Adarna starting Jan. 5.

Watch the return of megastar Sharon Cuneta in Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha. Behold the local rap culture and the life of the poor in a country waging a war against drugs, as seen through the eyes of a destitute youth in award-winning Respeto. Ticket prices remain the same as the festival’s last year at P150. You can buy them an hour before the screening at the Film Center.
