Finally, the liquid ban on Metro Manila Rail Transit Line 3 has been lifted. And by lifted we mean, even those beyond 100 mL, as previously implemented in Light Rail Transit and MRT lines.
However, in order to be allowed entry, passengers will have to show that the liquids they are carrying are not security threats either by drinking it or using the spray bottles in front of the security personnel.
Late January, LRT and MRT managements have banned liquid in its trains following the Jolo, Sulu blast which killed 22 civilians.
On the following week of the implementation, the management was forced to allow 100 mL liquids and below after some passengers complained.
Through a tweet on its official page, the Department of Transportation announced that apart from lifting the ban, passengers who have previously surrendered their belongings can now recover them through the Station Control Room at the station they have been confiscated in. Claimants only need to present a valid ID to get their paraphernalia.
