I’m sure I’m not the only one missing and looking back on all the art events that had happened early this year.
But while the earlier art events had focused on artworks, there’s an upcoming art fair that’s going to be all about the act of making art itself.
Art Bar Art Fair, happening on Jun. 30 at SM Megamall, will be a celebration of art in various mediums, from watercolor to calligraphy, drawing to murals, and more.
It’s hosted by Art Bar, the premier store for arts and crafts. Aside from having a wide assortment of arts and crafts supplies ready for purchase at the fair, Art Bar will also be setting up on-stage demos, live mural paintings, and other activities.

Portugal-based Brazilian watercolorist Eudes Correia will also be having a live painting session, alongside other local artists’ demos. “In partnership with local artist Sarah Ongsun, Eudes is brought to Manila to help expose Filipino artists to different painting styles without the need to go abroad for masterclasses,” Art Bar states in a press release.
If that’s not enough to reel you in, Art Bar will also be giving away a total of P19,000 worth of raffle prizes. There will be 10 winners of P1,000 worth of art materials, while three winners will go home with P3,000 worth of Art Bar gift cards each. Every P200 single receipt purchase at the fair entitles you to a raffle entry.
The art fair doesn’t stop on the 30th though; every Tuesday in July will see a series of art workshops (beginners very welcome), called the Art Bar Studio.
