Sorry, lovebirds: Sagada closed off for tourists until further notice due to COVID-19 threat

The popular tourist destination in the north famed for its caves, majestic overlooking mountain views and cold weather has reportedly shut doors on tourists starting this week amid the threat of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Sagada Mayor James Pooten Jr. ordered all eco-tourism activities to be suspended until further notice as part of the municipality’s efforts to safeguard residents as well as tourists from the virus that has so far infected over 60,000 people all over the world.

Pooten Jr. added that the LGU has been implementing measures to ensure safety among Sagada residents.
