KonsultaMD, a team of licensed doctors in the Philippines and a company owned by Globe Telecom, are providing consultations over the phone for Globe and TM subscribers who are also experiencing symptoms of the virus.
The P1 per minute charge for calls to the 79880 mobile hotline of KonsultaMD is removed in response to the coronavirus and in order for the public to have easier access to the medical advice at anytime they need.
Maridol D. Ylanan, CEO of Global Telehealth, Inc. which runs KonsultaMD states that Filipinos can avoid having to visit the hospital and risk exposure to the illness. “We want access to trained and licensed medical practitioners to be as easy, affordable, and convenient as possible for every Filipino especially these days when many people are afraid to leave their homes or visit the hospital because of COVID-19,” she stares.
The team of doctors are equipped and well-versed in handling different health issues including the COVID-19 and can help determine whether the symptoms a patient is experiencing should be considered as an emergency or not. They can also provide general health care information and other sanitary procedures to keep safe and healthy at all times.
Subscriptions to KonsultaMD usually cost P15 a week or P60 a month for Globe Prepaid and TM customers, while non-Globe and TM users can avail of this for P150 per month.
Starting today, Globe Prepaid and TM calls to the 79880 mobile hotline will be free of charge.
