Beginning Mar. 13, the National Museum of the Philippines will be closed to the public until further notice. The announcement was made after the government raised the response alert level to Code Red Sublevel 2, which is raised upon evidence of community transmission.

The announcement states that all the museums in their network, which include the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of Anthropology and the Planetarium, will also be closed to the public. As a precaution, their regional museums all over the country will also be closed.
In line with Resolution No. 11 of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, all of their upcoming public events and activities will also be postponed until further notice.
