As a response to the extension of the enhanced community quarantine and to alleviate the financial difficulties of customers during the pandemic, telecommunication firms PLDT Inc. and Smart Communications Inc. are implementing a six-month installment program for outstanding bills of postpaid subscribers.
Customers of PLDT Home, Smart and Sun can settle all their unpaid balances from the two- month extension period in six equal monthly installments for six months starting May 1. A billing statement will be sent to the customers with the first installment amount and due date. There will be zero interest and no penalties during this period; there’s also no need for an application to be eligible for this installment program.
For more information on your current balances, bills and payments can be tracked through the MyPLDT Smart App. Via online payment channels, customers can still choose to pay their bills in full and not avail of the installment program. Likewise, those who wish to complete the installment program earlier than six months can simply pay larger amounts during installments’ due dates.
“We hope that through this payment program, we will help keep you connected whether you are at home, the office or elsewhere after the enhanced community quarantine period,” said Manuel Pangilinan, chairman and chief executive officer of PLDT Inc.
