The modified enhanced community quarantine, which began yesterday, May 16, allowed retail establishments to partially open (40 percent of workers on-site, 60 percent work from home). If you are planning to visit the mall (supposedly, only for essential items), here’s a running list of their operating hours and safety measures you have to follow.
SM Supermalls
Properties included: Visit their website for the full list of SM Supermalls
Operating hours: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m daily or depending on the guidelines of local government
Safety measures:
- No face mask, no entry policy
- There will be thermal cameras in all entrances
- Disinfectant mats, alcohol and hand sanitizers are placed at key areas inside the mall
- Escalators will be used one step apart
- Elevators only at 50 percent capacity and spaced out chairs in dining areas
- Directional arrows will be placed in common areas to encourage “one-way customer traffic”
- Specialized sanitation team will ensure that the mall is consistently disinfected throughout the day
- Disabled free WiFi connection
Megaworld Corporation
Properties included:
- Eastwood City Walk, Quezon City
- Lucky Chinatown, Manila City
- Newport Mall, Pasay City
- Uptown Mall, Makati City
- Southwoods Mall, Biñan, Laguna
- Venice Grandcanal Mall, Taguig City
- Mactan Alfresco, Lapu-Lapu City

Safety measures:
- I.D. required as only 21 to 59 years old persons are allowed to enter
- No face mask, no entry policy
- Mandatory thermal scanning and foot bath at every entrance
- Alcohol and hand sanitizers are placed at key areas inside the mall
- Physical distance of three feet between each person
- Centralized pick-up point for stores with pick-up/delivery service to be followed
- Regular sanitation of elevator buttons, door handles, handrails, comfort rooms and common areas
- Tire bath for vehicles and sanitizing of parking cards during parking
- Social distancing and sanitation teams will make sure these guidelines are being followed
- Mall temperature will be set at 26ºC
- Disabled free WiFi connection
- Chapels and leisure establishments will remain closed
Ayala Malls

Operating hours: Only select stores are open with different schedules each. Visit this link for the full list.
Safety measures:
- Temperature checks will be conducted at entrances
- No face mask, no entry policy
- Frequent handwashing is encouraged
- Physical distance of one feet apart between each person
- Elevators are limited to two persons only with a priority for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and pregnant women
- Alcohol and hand sanitizers are placed at key areas inside the mall
- Floor markings will be placed on escalators
- Mall staff must wear proper personal protective equipment
- Handrails will be regularly sterilized
- Chapels and leisure establishments will remain closed
Robinsons Malls

Safety measures:
- No face mask, no entry
- Sanitizing mats to be used to disinfect footwear
- Temperature checks will be conducted at entrances
- Alcohol and hand sanitizers are placed at key areas inside the mall
- Physical distance of one meter apart between each person next to you when shopping
- Physical distance of one meter apart between each person when queueing
- Floor markings will be placed in hallways, restrooms and queuing areas
- A three-step gap on escalators and in elevators must be maintained
- Follow the centralized pick-up point for stores with pick-up or delivery services
- Chapels and leisure establishments will remain closed
Rockwell Malls
Properties included:
- Power Plant Mall, Makati City
- The Grove Retail Row, Pasig City
- Arton Strip, Quezon City
Operating hours: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Safety measures:
- No face mask and ID, no entry
- Thermal scans will be conducted at entrances
- Mandatory hand sanitizing and foot bath at every entrance
- Alcohol and hand sanitizers are placed at key areas inside the mall
- Minors, senior citizens, pregnant women and PWDs will only be allowed entry for purchasing essential goods or for a visit to the mall’s medical centers
- Limited use of elevators
- Limited entrance for restrooms
- Floor markings will be placed in hallways, restrooms and queuing areas
- A six-step gap on escalators must be maintained
- Sanitation team will ensure that the mall is consistently disinfected throughout the day
- Chapels and leisure establishments will remain closed
