ICYMI: People who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can pretty much go on vacations with few documentary requirements in select local destinations, which include Boracay and Baguio.
The latest top tourist destination to ease its travel requirements is Puerto Galera. According to a local executive ordinance publicized on July 10, fully vaccinated individuals will no longer have to present a negative Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test if they wish to visit the Oriental Mindoro locale.
Puerto Galera Mayor Rocky Ilagan also went on national television today to make the announcement, exempting those who are fully inoculated against COVID-19 from the testing requirement.
According to the executive order, fully vaccinated individuals are those who have received a second dose of a two-dose vaccine or have been vaccinated with a single-dose vaccine at least two weeks prior to their visit. Administered vaccines should be in the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) List or have a Compassionate Special permit (CSP) from the Philippine Food and Drug Administration, or are part of the Emergency Use Listing of the World Health Organization.

The municipality of Puerto Galera will likewise require all travelers to undergo health and exposure screening as well as a QR code scanning upon entry to any Puerto Galera borders. Registration through s-pass.ph is still required as per the mandate of the Department of Transportation.
