How much do we love iced coffee? Let us count the ways

Those who’ve purchased any sort of coffee-making equipment during this quarantine, raise your hands!

I honestly wasn’t as coffee-obsessed before as I am now that I can (or at least try to) make my own coffee, and as a whole group of home-brewers can attest to, I know I’m not the only one.

And yes, as Ariana Grande in “34+35” says, “I been drinking coffee (I been drinking coffee)” ad infinitum.

If you need some ideas to spice up your daily brew (not that there’s anything wrong in a good strong black, or a milky latte), here are a few ideas courtesy of the Nolisoli team.

While we’re at it, follow us on TikTok— there’ll be more #coffeetok videos from us there.

Iced sweet cinnamon latte

Fairly simple and straightforward, this recipe basically uses the base of a Spanish latte (espresso + milk + condensed milk), topped with a sprinkling of cinnamon.

Cascara soda

For those in the middle of the “coffee or tea” spectrum, here’s a refreshing drink to try. Cascara is tea, but made from dried coffee cherry skins, so you kind of get both.

Coconut cold brew

Sometimes the weather makes us want to drink something more tropical tasting, but our bodies (or minds, or hearts, or just our caffeine addiction) also tells us we need coffee. Here’s how to have both.

Spiked kori kohi

For the days when life just feels so rough and you find yourself saying, “I need a drink.” Which honestly, sounds like me every day this ECQ/MECQ/whatever-CQ…

Cold brew lemon tonic

Another addition to our hump day drink list, this is a citrusy, fizzy concoction that can still get you caffeinated.

Iced dirty matcha latte

Here’s a second entry for the coffee and tea lovers—and a pretty drink to look at, too. Just layer matcha, milk, and coffee for this energizing brew.

Cheese foam

Okay, this recipe used Earl Grey tea, but I swear, you can use this on coffee, too. Just take a cue from your favorite cafes and milk tea shops on their cheese foam drinks.

Iced caramel macchiato

If you want to go the extra mile (or if like me you just can’t find caramel sauce in your nearest grocery), make caramel syrup from scratch. To make a caramel macchiato, first pour flavored syrup (Starbucks, for example, uses vanilla. I used caramel syrup) into your mug or glass of choice. Add milk and milk foam, followed by the espresso shot, then top it off with caramel sauce.

Hazelnut latte

The simplest on this list and definitely my go-to—both pre-pandemic and at present—a hazelnut latte is your good ol’ latte with an additional dash of hazelnut syrup.
