Would you try face yoga?

A lot of people would pay to look a couple of years younger. If you have the means, there’s good ole Botox, the classic facelift, stem cell treatments, and what have you. But if you’re not one to blow some cash for the sake of vanity, here’s the next best thing: face yoga.

Face yoga basically promises to do what yoga does for the body—to relax and tone those muscles. I can already hear plastic surgeons and dermatologists say, “As soon as you do that, you’ll only end up with more wrinkles.” Believers, on the other hand, say otherwise. “Relaxing the facial muscles, especially where we hold tension—like the jaw, brow, and forehead—can counteract the wrinkle-causing grimacing we do on a daily basis,” shares Annelise Hagen, author of The Yoga Face: Eliminate Wrinkles with the Ultimate Natural Facelift, during an interview with Total Beauty.

To save you the trouble, face yoga isn’t so hard because I tried it myself. Although I don’t have any wrinkles (yet), I found myself a bit relaxed after doing a few exercises. Watch the video below to get you started. Who knows, maybe this will become a mainstay in your beauty routine.
