By now, Kenneth Cobonpue has become a household name when it comes to interior and furniture design. He’s been recognized globally for his designs that integrate traditional craft and materials (such as rattan) into more modern forms.
Just last week, he snagged another international award, this time at the 22nd annual International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and Hospitality Design (HD) Product Design Competition. His entry, the Peacock Easy Chair, won over hundreds of other entries for the Individual Seating Lounge category, Inquirer reports.
The chair, one of Cobonpue’s newest designs, is a modern take on the traditional wicker chair. It features a swirling design reminiscent of the peacock’s feathers, hence the name.
