Put your carts on hold and check this out for the meantime, online shoppers—the country’s top online shopping platforms have just issued announcements about the operational guidelines they will observe during the current implementation of the enhanced community quarantine to combat the COVID-19 outbreak.
Lazada
Lazada informed their customers via Facebook on Mar. 17 about the measures they will be taking to ensure safety in line with the enhanced community quarantine issued by the government recently.
While their website and app will continue to be active, the online shopping platform announces a temporary halt on their logistics operations—aside from Lazmart, their grocery service, which will continue to run for the meantime.
“Extended delivery delays are expected but to better facilitate deliveries and for the safety and well-being of customers and staff, we have temporarily suspended cash on delivery payment options for selected services,” Lazada also stated.
Zalora
Through their website, Zalora also issued an advisory about the suspension of all fulfillment of orders, deliveries and processing of returns across the country which began to take effect on Mar. 16 until further notice.
The online shopping platform also shared that although their website will remain active, they will only start fulfilling orders after the quarantine is lifted. They also specified the following in their advisory:
“For all loyal customers, this means:
- All deliveries/return pickups and refunds are suspended; your favorite fashion items will still be kept secure and clean
- All qualifying items will benefit from an extended return until the official end of the quarantine period
- All our online customer care channels remain open and ready to assist you; we shall answer and address every inquiry with equal care:
- Live Chat: Mondays to Sundays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Email: you may send your new inquiry or follow up anytime 24/7
- Social Media: you may also send your inquiries through Facebook Messenger 24/7
- The Zalora website and mobile app will remain active so you can access your account, explore, share the latest fashion and add to your wishlist at any time.”
Shopee
On the other hand, Shopee informed its customers on Mar. 16 that their operations and deliveries will proceed as usual during the NCR lockdown period. They also noted that the safety and well-being of their customers remain to be their top priority.
“In light of the recent developments, we will continue to provide consumers convenient and affordable access to essential supplies and other online shopping needs on our platform. We are also working with our sellers and logistics partners to provide as much support to minimize disruptions in shipments,” Shopee said in their statement.
