When it comes to writing, there’s always room for improvement. It’s a skill that needs to be constantly cultivated and developed, and there are various workshops and mentorships around the country that offer the opportunity to better immerse yourself in different writing techniques and improve the way you communicate your ideas to the world.
One of the newest mentorship programs in the country is spearheaded by ABS-CBN, who hope to foster the skills of aspiring fiction and non-fiction writers in the country.
The entertainment group recently launched “Project Foreword,” their first author search and mentorship program for aspiring writers. This program will give its participants the opportunity to collaborate with respected authors in the country, as well as produce works that will be published and promoted by ABS-CBN’s publishing arm.
Participants will be mentored by ABS-CBN’s chief content officer and host of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” Charo Santos-Concio as well as award-winning author and entrepreneur Ardy Roberto. Joining the roster of mentors is Mari Kris De Luna Ogang, better known by her Wattpad pen name Makiwander and multi-awarded screenwriter and novelist Ricky Lee.
Aspiring authors can submit their applications to books@abs-cbn.com with the subject “Project Foreword Submission.” The program will only be accepting submissions until Apr. 6, and a total of 20 authors will be accepted for this program.
