We’ve talked about embroidered face masks and handwoven ones that promote wearing our heritage before, and now, here’s another one that shows “part” of our culture. Meet the face mask version of the good morning towel, the iconic multi-purpose bimpo or pamunas that most Filipinos have seen (or even owned) since childhood.
Known for being heavy-duty and absorbent, the towel is often seen everywhere—from public transportation to your very own kitchen, where it serves many purposes. As an additional “use” of the towel, the novelty and gift item shop Tickles introduced a reimagining of it as their newest face mask design on Aug. 17.
Made with an inner layer of poly-blend fabric, the three-ply cloth mask bears the iconic “good morning” greeting along with its Chinese translation inscribed in bright red. Additionally, it is breathable, washable and reusable.
The good morning towel face mask can be bought for P180 only through Tickles on Shopee, and cash on delivery is available as well.
