This year’s MaArte Fair will be pushing through online

Although previously canceled, this year’s MaArte fair—typically held at The Peninsula Manila in the middle of August—will be pushing through and migrating to Zalora’s online platforms to accommodate the new normal.

Starting Oct. 16, the Museum Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. (MFPI)’s MaArte Fair 2020 will be hosted on Zalora’s website and app to give patrons a safer and more convenient way to shop.

MFPI hosts the MaArte Fair as an annual fundraiser that showcases the finest, locally-made products and promotes the best in Philippine crafts, culture and heritage. As an added benefit, the proceeds from this year’s online fair will be going to the National Museum of the Philippines and MFPI’s other cultural projects.

Past editions of the fair exhibited unique pieces from local artisans that ranged from home decor to apparel. Delicacies from different parts of the country and homemade food items were also showcased (and taste-tested) during the three-day fair.

The final roster of exhibitors is yet to be announced, but we’re already getting our wallets ready to do some early Christmas shopping.
