Tropical storm Rolly (Goni), was joined by tropical storm Siony (Atsani) within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) early yesterday, Nov. 1. Many areas in the country were put under signal nos. 4 and 5, marked by very destructive to devastating typhoon-force winds.
While Rolly has since weakened into a typhoon after making landfall early Sunday, many areas continue to face the effects of the two typhoons on top of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The National Food Authority and Department of Social Welfare and Services have reportedly prepared relief packs for residents of Bicol, which was heavily hit by the typhoon. If you wish to extend aid, here’s a list of organizations and groups with donation drives and relief initiatives.
