‘Tis the season to be jolly—yes, even during this pandemic. While the malls and parks won’t be as packed with the usual holiday sights, there’s still a surefire way of keeping the Christmas tradition alive. Let’s start with the practice of gift-giving.
Even without holiday bazaars, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will continue to have a platform for their products and services through Globe myBusiness’ annual Christmas campaign. Called Gift Local, the network’s latest effort is meant to help local small businesses flourish and give their families and employees support this yuletide season.
Aside from encouraging shoppers to buy local, Globe will present both online and on-ground initiatives to support SMEs. This includes a Gift Local e-bazaar on Nov. 27-29 to be held through Lazada. The event will showcase homemade treats from Let’s Eat Pare entrepreneurs, banig bag business BAYONGciaga and other local SMEs to be announced soon. The e-bazaar will be streamed live every 7 p.m. on Lazada and Globe myBusiness’ Facebook page.
To allow everyone to enjoy unlimited shopping in the comfort and safety of their own homes, Globe will also incorporate its unlimited internet plans in the online bazaar.
Globe is also treating SME owners and employees to the private Christmas concert, “Paskong Pasasalamat.” As the network’s way of expressing its gratitude, this celebration will be exclusive to Globe myBusiness’ clients and their employees.
The concert is set on Dec. 12 and will have a soon-to-be-announced lineup of local artists performing their original songs alongside heartwarming Christmas carols. There will also be over P200,000 worth of raffle prizes up for grabs, as well as GCash credits to be won in games and activities such as a Christmas dance-off challenge.
Stay tuned for further details and various activities for Gift Local at Globe myBusiness’ Facebook page.
