If you’ve made a dent in your pre-quarantine book haul, it’s time for a restock. From bazaars to fairs, many of our longstanding social affairs are going online—and the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) is no exception. Instead of its usual hub at the World Trade Center in Pasay, it’s making an online debut on Nov. 24.
The MIBF has also announced its current list of exhibitors, among them Anvil Publishing, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the University of the Philippines Press, and the Ateneo de Manila University Press.
The Ateneo Press recently topped both editions of the Aklatan Book Fair and helped local history books become one of the top-selling genres on e-commerce platforms like Shopee and Lazada.

The MIBF is known as one of the largest and longest-running annual book fairs in the country, so we’re especially excited to join its online run. More details on the book fair’s specifics have yet to be announced, but we’re already saving up for it.
