Here’s something to look forward to in 2021: You’ll be able to find gluten-free Oreo cookies on your future grocery runs.
In a recent Tweet, the brand revealed that gluten-free versions of the classic and the Double Stuf Oreos will be hitting the shelves in January. The cookies will also come with a label indicating that they’re approved and certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America.
The best part is that you’ll be able to find gluten-free Oreos wherever Oreo products are sold and that they’ll be a permanent part of their product line.
“With the addition of the new line, Oreo invites snackers with a gluten intolerance or gluten sensitivities to enjoy our cookies too,” a representative told CNN. The company has also worked on ensuring that their gluten-free Oreos are “comparable snacking experience to the original recipe.”
While the current Oreo line isn’t gluten-free, they’re considered generally suitable for vegetarians since they’re manufactured without animal-derived ingredients.
