Halohalo’s new ‘play set’ will make your WFH experience more bearable

We are never getting that dream vacation—no, not this year. It’s December next week, and soon we’d be in deep holiday slumber (hopefully, if we manage to get our year-end workload done early).

Speaking of catching up on work before the holiday languor kicks in, here’s something to tinker with if you haven’t had enough of home improvement and building a dream work from home setup. Check out local lifestyle brand Halohalo’s new collection: halohaloplay.

If you loved the brand’s banig in signature weave or the bags aptly named after summer trips that could have been (bakasyon tote, I see you), its new selection of home fixtures just might appeal to you.

Taking off from its limited-edition halohalohome collection with furniture brand E. Murio, Halohalo is re-releasing some of the fun shapes like the petal (collectively known as bulaklak set), dahon, latag, pod and kutson alongside new playful pieces.

In July, Halohalo released a limited-edition collection of new furniture pieces for lounging at home.

They were not kidding when they called one of the objects a “playset” (P20,000/set). It is what it is. It’s a set composed of a U-shaped padded “seat”, a single step stool called “ladder” and a ramp called “slide”. They’re literally building blocks of what could be a fun day in the garden—no age restrictions here. You can also buy it per piece.

The “playpen” (P20,000), on the other hand, is big enough to keep a baby in, organize the pile of books you had planned to read but never got to, or can even be used as a make-shift invisible booth for when you feel like WFH is too much.

Latag and hinga mats

An upgraded version of the banig is also part of the new collection. The latag mat (P5,000), a padded mat, comes with a half-moon cushion to rest your head on when you read on days-off or during off-hours. The hinga mat (P3,500) comes with a built-in low cushioned pillow and is perfect for basking in the sun to destress between work hours.

All of the new pieces come in Halohalo’s signature recycled plastic weave and are available for order through its website.
