How to convince your relatives you’re sober during the holidays

Whether you’re a youth keeping your intoxicated merrymaking under wraps or someone keeping up the “responsible adult” act while enjoying the “spirits” of Christmas, someone is bound to get drunk in a compromising situation this season of celebration. When that time comes, here are some tips to help you master the art of being faux-sober for the sake of peace and prosperity.

Cologne is the best camouflage

The first step to looking sober is smelling sober. The scent of alcohol lingers so make sure to spritz it away with a spray of cologne.

Peanut Butter is your best friend

Speaking of scent, mind to check your breath, too. Get rid of alcohol breath with a spoonful of peanut butter. It’s strong scent and flavor will get rid of the smell of alcohol coming from your stomach, throat, and your mouth.

Washing your face is key

You can either pass off your drunken blush as the latest Instagram trend (yes, still applicable for men), or you can make a quick trip to the bathroom and wash your face with cold water. The cold will help bring down the redness, puffiness, and swelling you get from drinking one too many.

Wear flats to stay standing

Balance can be a tricky thing while under the influence. Opt for some flats instead if you plan on spending the night standing after drinking.

If all else fails, just try to get everybody else drunk.
