Contracts and agreements have been signed last week: New ferries will be procured and new terminals will be built to accommodate passengers who wish to ride the Pasig River ferry system from Cavite to Manila and vice versa.
The Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC), together with local government authorities, is erecting terminals along the coasts of Lido Beach in Noveleta to Intramuros via Pasig River. For P100 per trip, passengers will enjoy the convenience of the new ferries, which can sit up to 70 people. They’ll have air conditioning, toilets, Wi-Fi connectivity, and security cameras.
This new commute system, which will start in June, will also boost tourism in historical attractions in Cavite and Intramuros.
After this new ferry route, the PRRC is looking forward to opening the same system in Laguna.
