Intramuros for all its historical importance still remains a vibrant part of Manila, thanks to rehabilitation efforts by the Intramuros Administration and interest for its further development by newly-elected Mayor Isko Moreno. Now, what was once a default stop in many of our nursery and preschool field trips offers many sights and experience for visitors to enjoy.

There’s the BamBike Intramuros experience as well as a Sunday Market near the Plaza Roma which you can take advantage of on the weekends. Inside Plaza San Luis is a creative hub and café called Puesto. A new museum was also recently put up to house religious artifacts from the ruins of San Ignacio Church and will be free to the public until November.

Really there is no shortage of things to do at Intramuros. And if you’re wondering where to start, this one-day pass by the Intramuros Administration might help you.

There are about 14 museums and sites inside the complex but only five of which are free to the public, the rest has an entrance fee of P50 to P200. But with the Intramuros One-Day Pass, you can save up to P115 in fees and still be able to visit five locations, namely: Baluarte de San Diego, Bahay Tsinoy, Casa Manila, Destileria Limtuaco Museum, and Fort Santiago.

But since technically some sites are accessible once you’ve paid for a Fort Santiago pass, you can actually visit two more attractions, Rizal Shrine and iMake History Fortress.

Each pass costs P310 but students, senior citizens, and PWDs can avail of it at a discount for only P180. You may purchase it at Fort Santiago, Casa Manila, and Baluarte de San Diego. Available while supplies last.
