Hotel Okura Manila’s delivery service is here for our Japanese cravings while int’l travel’s on hold

After months of isolation, our cravings for restaurant food intensifies so much that our first instinct, once this quarantine (and pandemic) is over, is to go to our favorite dining establishment. For most of us, that is a beloved Japanese restaurant.

But since most are still operating under many restrictions and with limited capacity, your best bet is to have something delivered from your trusty Japanese place.

Enter Hotel Okura Manila’s new delivery service Okura at Home. If you have been at this veritable dining destination in Pasay, you’ll know their dedication to the specific craft of Japanese food preparation.

Sukiyaki gohan

With their newly launched pick-up and delivery service, bento meals and a la carte favorites such as sukiyaki gohan—US beef simmered in sukiyaki sauce and rice—and cold green tea soba—buckwheat noodles with green tea, sweet inari tofu, nameko mushroom and wasabi—can be on your table with just a few steps.

Oh, and did we mention? They have a Father’s Day special takeout menu for early planners.

Their Father’s Day bento set (P5,888)—available for pickup June 20 to 21—is good for four persons. It comes with an appetizer platter (an assortment of seafood like grilled salmon and mackerel bundled with premium meats like duck loin), a simmered dish of tofu bun, shiitake mushroom, kelp and bamboo shoots among others and chirashi sushi with lotus root, gizzard shad, conger eel and codfish flakes.

You can also add a perfect sake pairing with Hakushika Honjozo Nama Chozo 300 ml (P1,100++) or Gekkeikan Nigori 300 ml (P900++).

Just call 5318-2815 or 0917-8189868 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. to order. From there, you can arrange for pick-up at the Hotel Okura Manila entrance on Portwood Street (from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.) with a minimum single-receipt purchase of P1,000.

Alternatively, you can also opt for delivery via third-party courier service. Payments may be settled via debit/credit card (Visa, Mastercard, JCB) and PayMaya.

To ensure quality freshness of seasonal ingredients, pre-ordering a day in advance is highly encouraged.
