Yabu and Ippudo now open for pickup and delivery

Being stuck in quarantine has made us accustomed to homemade dishes—most probably easy-to-cook meals that we can make with whatever we can find in the pantry. So when we’re missing our favorite Japanese restaurants, it may prove difficult to replicate their quality dishes made with only the freshest ingredients and skilful technique. Hearing our clamor for Japanese food, the Standard Group has finally done what we have all probably been waiting for.

As announced on their social media accounts, Yabu: House of Katsu and Ippudo Ramen are now open for pickup and delivery.

For this week, Yabu and Ippudo will be accepting orders for pickup and afterwards, will be available for delivery via GrabFood. Those who order between May 5 to May 8 with pickup dates scheduled for May 8 to May 10 will be given a 20 percent discount.

Place your order through Viber and pay through bank transfer or Gcash.

Yabu is known for their authentic Japanese katsu sets served with Japanese rice, miso soup, pickles and cabbage with sesame dressing. They offer chicken, seafood, pork as well as mixed katsu and katsu curry sets. Other than the katsu, their gyudon donburi set (US beef belly in honey soy sauce with Japanese rice and cabbage) is also a must-try.

Meanwhile, Ippudo is a crowd favorite among ramen lovers. Originally founded in Japan, the restaurant has a wider range of ramen flavors to choose from including their bestsellers: Tokusei Tantanmen (pork tonkotsu topped with torched pork belly, spicy ground pork and sesame oil) and the Karaka Ramen (original tonkotsu broth with minced meat and miso paste). On top of that, you can order sushi and tempura rolls as well.

Yabu: House of Katsu and Ippudo Ramen are under the Standard Group Philippines. They have also partnered with 50 hospitals and have delivered around 10,000 meals to date for medical frontliners and COVID-19 patients through the donations they earned. To donate, you can visit this link. A P100 donation will fund one meal.

Standard Group also encourages their customers to share photos of your kotsu and ramen dishes online by tagging using the hashtags #YabuAtHome and #IppudoAtHome.
