Baking beginners, Bucky’s has a starter kit for you

Baking beginners, here’s your next quarantine project: the Not-A-Brownie treat from Bucky’s which took over the local dessert scene in 2012.

The bakeshop, which is open for take-out at the Grid Food Market in Rockwell, brands this chewy chocolate concoction as its flagship pastry. These dense, fudge-like bars aren’t exactly “brownies,” hence its name “not-a-brownie,” and it contains a dash of salt that balances the sweet flavor.

Now, there’s no need to wonder how you could taste this delectable treat because you can bake it in your very own kitchen. Bucky’s is selling their Not-A-Brownie mix which only requires you to add butter, eggs and vanilla for a quick dessert fix.

Aside from being perfect for quarantine baking beginners, it also only takes less than an hour to produce these treats straight out of your oven. Each mix can make approximately nine Not-A-Brownie bars, and it is available on Bucky’s website at P450.

In addition to the Not-A-Brownie mix, they are also selling their pancake mix at P320 and 150 grams of salted caramel sauce at P250. You can also get all three items as a discounted DIY set for P850 at a limited time only.

Take note: The bakeshop requires a minimum spend of P500 per transaction and the cut-off for orders is at 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday with a 48-hour lead time. They also only accept credit card and debit card payments via Paypal and bank deposit (BDO, BPI, UnionBank, GCash and PayMaya).
