Over the past few months, we’ve witnessed how museums in the metro have reinvented their approach to displaying and auctioning art works by going online. Halted exhibitions and catalogues have been displayed on social media or interactive websites, while gallery backrooms have utilized e-commerce platforms to reach more patrons and art collectors while social distancing.

Other museums, however, aren’t as equipped to make the shift to online exhibits—which is where campaigns and fundraisers from cultural heritage organizations step in.
One of these is Grupo Kalinangan’s Ayuda Para sa Pamana fundraiser. The cultural heritage organization’s fundraiser is currently collecting donations to provide financial support for museum operations, rehabilitation as well as staff salaries and allowances. Their list of beneficiaries includes:
- Museo Pambata (Roxas Blvd., Ermita, Manila)
- The Negros Museum (Bacolod City, Negros Occidental)
- BIPSU Museum (Biliran Provincial State University, Naval, Biliran)
- Hofileña Museum (Silay City, Negros Occidental)
