Fortunately, we’ve got friends who were more than willing to share what they know about cooking pasta—and how you can find comfort in it as they have. We’ve also been busy at our kitchens, so you can find some recipes from our team as well.
Penne Carbonara
For home cooks who want to tweak classic pasta recipes, take notes from restaurateur Mano Lotho and stylist Daryl Chang. Their version of Italian carbonara uses penne so it can hold more sauce and bacon instead of guanciale (cured pork jowl).
Miso Butter Noodles
We love the classic butter and parmesan pasta mixture, but we can’t help but think there’s something more we can do with this pasta recipe. Enter our miso butter noodle recipe—which adds savory miso and salty furikake to the classic sauce.
Pasta Peas
For home cooks looking to make the most out of their pantry, marketing manager and creative Kix Suarez shares his recipe for pasta peas. If you’ve got extra time on your hands, try mixing peas into your pasta and tomato paste.
Wilted Arugula Pasta
Whipped up some salad and don’t know what to do with all the leftover salad leaves? There’s a pasta recipe for that. Take some arugula leaves, toss it with al dente pasta with fresh tomatoes and lemon juice—and top the whole dish with lots (and lots) of parmesan.
Spicy Fusilli Pasta
If you’re looking for a recipe with a little spice, there’s always spicy fusilli pasta. Creative Gabs Gibbs shares how she recreated a pasta dish by Los Angeles-based Italian restaurant Jon and Vinny’s—using conchigliette and no liquor.
