This local zine brings art and food together for its anniversary celebration

FAKE Zine is celebrating its anniversary, and there are many many things on the menu. In case you haven’t heard, the local art and subculture zine is collaborating with nine different homegrown food and beverage concepts in celebration of its first anniversary launch.

FAKE Fair 2021 is curating a special menu with help from Angeles City’s Kalidad Coffee, homemade pasta joint Pasbo, buns and noodles spot Po, Detroit-style pizza and pastry place Easy as Pie, Piece of Cake, single-origin coffee brew bar Wideye Coffee, Bacolod’s artisanal cocktail bar The Thirsty Llama, authentic New York bagel shop Booya Bagels, Angeles cookie bakery YO’s Homemade, and homemade, vegan-friendly ketchup maker Haynayan Ketchups.

Every Saturday from June 26 to July 10, each of these shops will be dropping an exclusive item through FAKE Zine’s online store at 8 p.m. sharp. Last week’s drop included a pepperoni pizza-inspired lasagna from Pasbo (P290+), a cascara lemonade mocktail from Kalidad Coffee (P150), and spicy strawberry, pineapple, and mango-flavored vegan ketchups from Haynayan Ketchups (P350 per bottle).

For this week’s drop, we can expect Detroit-style pizza topped with vegetables you’d sing in “Bahay Kubo” from Easy as Pie, Piece of Cake (P950), a peppercorn-infused spiced strawberry vodka cocktail from The Thirsty Llama (P380), and pineapple pistachio thumbprint cookies from YO’s Homemade (P325).

For FAKE Fair 2021’s final food drop, a Filipinized everything bagel from Booya Bagels (P660 for a box of six), a special FAKE x Wideye Coldbrew concentrate from Wideye Coffee (P400), and an adobo-style roasted pork bun from Po (P600 for a box of six) are what’ll be dropping on FAKE Zine’s official store.

You can see the full list of festivities on FAKE Zine’s official Instagram and online store.
