Craving taho at night? This vendor in Manila’s just a call away

We usually hear the taho vendor sing its song on the streets in the morning. You’re lucky if you hear the “Tahooo!” chant at 9 a.m. Obviously, late risers miss out what’s good every morning.

But now, they don’t have to. Especially those who live near the University of Santo Tomas. Twitter user Ingrid brought the good news to the social media two days ago.

“Craving for an all-time milky snack? Get yours in one call. Order taho from Mang Felix. For parties and events. 0916-9378071,” says the paper handed to her by a taho vendor one night near the P. Noval gate of UST.

Well, that’s convenient. Since then, people tried if Tatay Felix will respond to their call for taho.

However, it seems like Tatay Felix is mostly just in the vicinity of UST. When another netizen replied to Ingrid’s tweet if the vendor can bring the good stuff to the University of the Philippines Manila in Taft, Ingrid says yes, but only for special occasions.

Another Twitter user even offered to pay for Tatay Felix’s printing of improved calling cards if someone would send him designs.

We don’t know about the taste of Tatay Felix’s “silken tofu with arnibal and sago pearls” yet, but it sure feels good to help a hardworking man and spread the word further.
