If you’ve got a friend whose caffeine obsession has just grown exponentially this year, it’s a no-brainer to get them something that will feed and fuel that love. Aside from getting them a bag of their favorite beans, or, if you’re lucky, that prized rare variety they’ve been eying, here are other things you can send over to strengthen their coffee-slash-home barista arsenal, from coffee equipment to things that’ll remind them of their favorite brew.
Coffee cups worthy of their best brews
Sometimes the vessel is just as important as what it contains. For your coffee-loving friends who really know how to make and enjoy a good cuppa, give them another cup to add to their collection. And no, don’t worry, we can never have too many coffee cups.
For something uniquely theirs, go “mine” on those vintage cups on your Instagram feed. For something more minimalist but equally trendy, check out District 84’s selection. There’s also Orion’s sweet pastel cups that keep their coffee at the ideal temp.
Available at Orion, and District 84
Beans with a purpose
Let them do good with each cup. Get them beans that support not just coffee farmers, but local groups, as well. Kampe Coffee and Cacao, for example, support social causes and has partnered with Ambagan PH to aid communities affected by the past typhoons.

Wake up (or stay awake) and smell the coffee
If it’s too late to have coffee (what?!), have the next best thing: keep the room smelling like a fresh brew with coffee-scented candles. These candles by Astra Kandila come in two sizes and with options for wicks. For a more relaxing effect, try the wood wick as it gives a light crackle as it burns.

Multipurpose clip + scooper
No matter how meticulous one can get with their coffee equipment, it can’t be helped that sometimes… little things just go missing. Like a scooper. And we know how important it is to get the right measurements for the perfect brew, so to keep that scooper right where it belongs and within easy reach, get your friend a coffee clip scooper—at least now they’ll be sure to know where to find that scoop when they need it. Plus, they can keep their bag of beans secure, too.
Available at BrewbarMNL
More equipment!
For the one who’s just getting into it—or the very stubborn coffee purist friend of yours–who only has a small selection of brewers, give them a new toy to play with this holiday break. There’s a wide selection of brewers available on BrewbarMNL, such as the Chemex, Aeropress, and more. It even comes with a bag of coffee grounds for every purchase. Great deal especially if you’re giving it as gifts. (Yes, you can give gifts to yourself. This is the sign you’re looking for.)

For the coffee-drinkers who like to take it slow
Relaxing mornings sitting by the window, the scent of coffee in the air… and coffee slowly but beautifully dripping into the glass. If that sounds like an ideal morning for your loved one, get them something to make that a reality. El Kapitan Coffee has a number of drip brewers available, including the popular Origami dripper.
Available at El Kapitan Coffee
Espresso without the machine
Let’s be real—an espresso machine would be a crazy gift. But if you’re not quite at that budget range yet, here’s the next best thing: an attachment for the Aeropress to help make that espresso happen. The Fellow Prismo attachment for Aeropress is designed to create a build-up of pressure so you can “pull” (or… press?) your coffee espresso-style. It’s perfect, too, if your friend wants to make espresso on the go (in the future, when it’s safe to go out freely).
Available at The Object Depot
For their daily grind (heh, get it?)
We know coffee is much better when you grind it yourself. Plus, using a coffee mill is a great arm workout in the morning. Coffee Tonya has a variety of coffee mills available on their website, whether you want to go for a more vintage looking one or a modern, clear ceramic mill. (Coffee Tonya also sells beans!)
While you’re at it, maybe send over this guide to grind sizes for your friend’s reference, too.
