Help farmers and save up on tomatoes by buying in bulk (P200/10kg) this weekend

The lockdown situation is devastating for farmers. While they keep on growing crops, transportation is limited thus leaving their vegetables rotting without buyers to access them even at lower prices.

Just this week, we reported about Cagayan’s cabbage farmers willing to sell their vegetables below market price, just to break even.

In Pampanga, tomato farmers are suffering the same fate, but thanks to civilian-led initiatives like RiceUp Farmers Inc., we have a chance to help them save perfectly good tomatoes this weekend.

For a low price of P200 for a bundle of 10kg, you can have tomatoes that can last up to six days. Perfect for salads, stews and pasta! And the best part is because they are in season, you get it at the peak of its ripeness for best taste.

On Mar. 26, RiceUp will be delivering to Quezon City, Ortigas and Makati to those who are willing to buy them. Not only are we helping farmers by purchasing, but we are saving tons of tomatoes from going to waste.
