With Christmas season right around the corner, traffic in the Metro won’t be lighter anytime soon. Yes, this means the estimated 367,000 vehicles a day will possibly double with families preparing holiday decorations and gifts, flocking to different shopping destinations. Although a number shopping bazaars (Read: Early Christmas shopping? This holiday bazaar has clothes, goodies and more) most of them are only open for a limited time. But don’t worry, this is why shopping malls, the Filipinos’ favorite (and probably only) place for pastime, are adjusting their schedules.
From Nov. 5 to the second week of January 2019, shoppers can now avoid rush hours as shopping malls extends their operational hours. Although most of them are opening at 11 a.m., an hour past the usual schedule, they are now closing at much later time slots, varying from 10 p.m. to 12 m.n.
