Ube macapuno is the star of Jollibee’s newest pie

Think ube is so 2020? Jollibee says “think again” as it introduces a new ube-flavored treat: the ube macapuno pie.

This new dessert treat combines the sweetness of purple yam and coconut as filling with the signature crispy and golden-crusted shell of the fast food chain’s pies. Available in to-go packaging, the ube macapuno pie is available for P30 ala carte and also comes in a set of three for P89 and set of six for P175.

Taking on a classic combination in local dessert cuisine, this menu offering is an upgrade of Jollibee’s ube pie which had creamy ube halaya as its delectable filling.

The new ube macapuno pie is available through Jollibee Delivery’s app, website and hotline at #87000. You can also buy it in all Jollibee stores in Metro Manila and Luzon or have it delivered via GrabFood, Foodpanda or LalaFood. It will be available soon in Visayas and Mindanao, so stay tuned for Jollibee’s announcements.

With flavors like tuna, choco mallow and peach mango on its roster, it’s no wonder the fast food chain’s pies are among our favorites on its menu. While ube became a major food trend worldwide last year, the flavor has long been a staple in the local dessert scene—making it a timeless snack choice for a homegrown enterprise like Jollibee.
