We here at Nolisoli.ph think that there is nothing better than spending some much needed time to appreciate our heritage and culture more by touring our local attractions like Intramuros. In fact, you can take a walking tour on your own or with your friends and family with this free map.
But you might want to do that ASAP, or at least after Holy Week perhaps as ten of its sites will be closed off starting Maundy Thursday (Apr. 18) and will resume operations only on the following week.
These sites include Baluarte de San Diego, the circular fortification southwest of Intramuros and Casa Manila, the museum housing Spanish colonial-era artifacts and home to local arts and craft shop Puesto. The two attractions will be closed until Black Friday (Apr. 19).
Rizal Shrine, Bagumbayan Light and Sound Museum, San Agustin Museum, National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Gallery, and Instituto Cervantes, on the other hand, will be taking a three-day break and resuming its operations on Easter Sunday (Apr. 21).
Meanwhile, Destileria Limtuaco museum home to the longest-running distillery in the country, and Fr. George J. Willman, SJ Museum will only reopen on Monday, Apr. 22.
Bahay Tsinoy which usually opens from 1 to 5 p.m. the whole week will be closed from Apr. 18-22.
